Kids Introduction to wood working
Here's where it all began for me →
This cutting board is now in my parents house
My latest build. Walnut, Purple Heart & Pecan.
Took what I knew from gluing up cutting boards and made my first Oak computer table.
Oak desk top with stain
Decided to go with the industrial look
Entry Way shoe bench and Coat Rack. I ended up selling this entry way bench and then almost took a year to make my wife one (she lets me know). The last picture is the new bench I recently built for my wife and I like it better than the first.
My wife likes the weathered gray look with a hint of brown. I played around with a few different color stains on the first entry way coat hook. On the new entry way bench I used the same two stains, blended it better and then used an off white diluted paint. This turned out a lot more subtle.
I had a friend ask me to make his wife a range decretive top for their new glass top stove. I didn't even know this was a thing until I looked it up. I took some Poplar and one piece of Rainbow Poplar and created this beauty. I used a dark walnut stain and a satin lacquer for the finish.
I met some friends from South Africa. They were here for 18 months and the mom approached me and asked if I could make her a cheese board in the shape of Alabama. I decided to make her something that would be both, from where the family is from and where they lived here in Alabama. I used African Zebra Wood to create this charcuterie board.
My Barn Door TV Console build. This beast is 9' long with a width of 20 1/2". I was trying to find a top that I could stain to match the entryway coat hook. What I found was 2" thick Rock Maple. As I neared the end of this build I pleaded with my wife to not make me stain this beautiful console top. We agreed that if we didn't stain it we needed to keep it as natural looking as possible. I made everything for this, including the rail system. This was a fun and challenging build and I'd love to do it again.
I did a fairly big job for a family. Farm house table build along with a built-in banquet. The wall I was building the bench had two electrical outlets so I had to incorporate those into the bench. The outlets I used had two USB ports in it. The bench is 10 feet long.
Probably My Best Work
It is a very hard to determine if this is my best/favorite piece or if it's my TV Console table I made
My Son has a love for music
He needed a place to put his guitars
Father and Son Project
Even though he doubted me, we worked together and made this out of Pallet wood
